I am doing everything I can to recreate for you the feeling of being in a place like this at a time like this. There is no feeling like it, the peace, the wildness, the ruggedness, the raw beauty and strength of mother earth. There is nothing like being in the wilderness as the night settles in, knowing that up here even the air is different, it is thinner, it is colder as it drifts across a vast land of trees, rocks, lakes, and mountains. Leave your cell phone behind. Leave behind anything that makes noise or distracts, including any semblence of an alarm clock. Let the sunlight awaken you. Let the first movements of chipmunks and chickadees bring to you the gentle awareness of a rugged new day in this invigorating wilderness.
