Only one or two inches high, you could easily step on these
dainty little flowers and not even know it. It was no easy
task for me to get my camera set up on its tripod at ground
level only two inches away from these little mountain
gems. When this photo was created hardly anyone had a 28 mm
macro lens. A lot of photographers owned macro lenses but they
were almost always telephoto lenses and used for shooting
close-ups of butterflys, bees, and other small subjects. The
difference here is that I can be very close and still get a very
wide view, in some ways making these tiny little characters look
huge. |
