Scar Nose

The scar on this seal's nose seems pretty small and somewhat insignificant. Perhaps just a scuffle on the beach with the other seals. On the other hand, as incredible footage by BBC potrays, perhaps he barely rolled off the teeth of a Great White Shark as it tried  to gulp him up from below. As we adore the wildlife on the beach, we will never know how many close calls they have had trying to survive each and every day. Those seals in the BBC footage, just off the coast of South Africa, had to swim past a detail of Great White Sharks everyday on route to finding fish to bring back to feed to their young on the beach.
