Scores of chairs sit idly empty while two foreign tourists go
for an early morning stroll along the water's edge. A national park,
Koh Samet is not a large island. You can walk from one side of
the island to the other in about 10 minutes, but it will take
you quite a bit longer to walk end to end. The east side of the
island is full of beautiful beaches, some of them private
resorts, while the west coast is much more rugged and has only
one beach. Just a three hour drive from Bangkok, paired with a
short ferry ride , it has been one of my favorite destinations. |
