This image as much as any portrays the feeling of being in New Zealand, the peace, the tranquility, the endless beauty. The two main islands stretch almost as far as the western coast of the United States but are home to only 5 million people. 77% of them live on the North Island, and 76% of them live in the cities, which means that you will see very few people out and about on the South Island. Sometimes I drove for an hour without even seeing another car and when I did... well maybe it was just another tourist.
