After photographing Nara I arrived at a
hotel in Kyoto quite late at night and I pulled out my "Lonely Planet".
Just by stroke of luck I found that there was a parade in Kyoto that next
morning. I plan to eventually post more photos of the parade as people
seem quite interested in it. For now I am posting this image because my Thai
friends seem keenest on it. They tell me that the lady
under the umbrella is the bride, and feel that this is for real, even
though I don't know whether she is really getting married, or just
performing for the parade. (Kyoto, Japan) |
