In a Cone
by A. J. Windless
Crystals on the drift,
flurries in the cold
We tend to collect in
warmer places
With hot drinks to be
sipped, stories to be told
Flames to reflect
laughter on our faces.
It’s time to slow down,
let go of it all
Pull up a chair, the window will call
As you let yourself
stare each flake will fall
In a slow release a symbol of peace.
Now come sit beside
the flame and the stone
You’ll come and
confide with friends who have shown
In you reside aside
stories they own
A love that’ll subside
the care you have known.
It’s time to slow down,
let go of it all
Pull up a chair, the window will call
As you let yourself
stare each flake will fall
In a slow release a symbol of peace.
As crystals start to
soar, first trace in the
skies
It’s bound to do more, a grace in disguise
You’ll come to abide through the love you
have known
Snuggle safely inside like a seed in a cone.
It’s time to slow down,
let go of it all
Pull up a chair, the window will call
As you let yourself
stare each flake will fall
In a slow release a symbol of peace.
