I photographed this coffee clearwing moth, also known as the coffee hummingbird moth or the coffe hawk moth, near the river in Vang Vieng. Notice that the middle segment of his body matches the color of the flower petals. With the flower petal positioned so perfectly it might appear that the color you are seeing is behind the little critter. Although his wings are transparent it would be impossible to sport transparent body segments.
