As host of the 2002 Winter Olympics, this historical image shows downtown Salt Lake
City at its sleekest moment.
Building sized banners of Olympic athletes cover the
skyscrapers, and just
moments before sunset, the city seems to perfectly match the
color of its
Mount Olympus background.
The Winter Olympics will return to Utah in 2034. That's eight
more years from now. With technology advancing the way it is, I
have to wonder what Utah will do for decorations this time
around. Will we see collosal holograms of skiers coming down Mt.
Olympus? |
