From a vantage point high in the
rocks at Arches National Park, this coyote scans the desert
below, reminding me of "Wiley Coyote" who always watched for the
roadrunner from high on a cliff. As a child I laughed at that
cartoon series, and decades later young Thai children still cry
out with laughter at the poor fellow's ineptitude. However, as I
watch the real coyote, I get the feeling that this guy knows
exactly what he is doing and that there won't be any small birds
blowing him up with bundles of dynamite. |
