| With whom clothing is truly a work of art, the first Hmong immigrated to Thailand over a hundred years ago, leaving China, migrating through Burma and Laos. In 1975, after the victory of Pathet Lao and the communist party in Laos, another wave of Hmong sought refuge in Thailand. This photo was taken in the mountains near Chiang Mai where they are often referred to as "the hill tribe people". |
