The Colorado River begins in Colorado, winds through Utah, and
as seen here flows through the Grand Canyon. Over eons of time
her waters helped to carve this vast canyon, and much of the
rain, snow and ice that finished these carvings flowed into and
joined her waters. Modern man in the western deserts has used so
much of the Colorado, and has been so dependant on her for life,
that for many years her waters never even reached the sea. She
currently forms the southern most border between California and
Arizona before heading through Mexico to the Sea of Cortez but
it was only after Mexico and the U.S. reached an agreement that
her flow was finally restored to the great seas. |
